Rota Kids

Rotakids have led our school in collecting glasses which we have donated to the International Aid Vision project, helping people in other countries have life-saving access to glasses.
Julie from IAT visited our school and we handed over all the glasses we have collected. She will now take them on the next stage of their journey.
Thank you to everyone who has donated and to all local businesses who have helped us to collect.

Another fab adventure. We visited IAT at Tarlton to their storage unit and helped sort and box up 150 shoebox appeal gift boxes ready to be sent out to Ukraine.

Remembrance Day
The 11th hour, the 11th day of the 11th month. We reflect on those lives that were lost during both the World Wars and any other conflicts since then. Those people gave their lives so we could have ours. #LestWeForget
Today pupils were chosen to take a handmade wreath to the war memorial and to remember those on Remembrance Day

Harvest

We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who made a donation for harvest. All donations will be given to the Clayton Food bank. We are very grateful to everyone.

International Aid

Rotakids went shopping at B&M to purchase additional items for the shoebox appeal. This coming Friday members from Rotary will be visiting to help make up backpacks (instead of shoeboxes) which will then be distributed by International Aid.

Rotary Showcase

Rotakids represented Mount Pleasant at the Rotary Showcase which took place at Accrington Stanley. We were lucky to meet lots of people who agreed to support our work. The children also had a good discussion with the Managing Director of Accrington Stanley Football Club: they described in detail work they have already done and their plans for the future.
