ODD Sock Day
For anti-bullying week this week children were asked to wear odd socks to raise awareness. They also took part in various lessons learning about bullying, what it is and how to help someone and get help. Children also watched a presentation on raising awareness.
Remembrance Day
Remembrance Day is always an important date, at Mount Pleasant Primary School. As a school, we completed a variety of activities, alongside the minute's silence. Pupils were chosen to take a handmade wreath to the war memorial and to remember those on Remembrance Day. A big Thank You! to everyone who contributed towards the Poppy Appeal.
Harvest Festival
On Tuesday 15th October we held our Annual Harvest assembly with Reverend Toby.
Thank you for all of your kind donations for Harvest, they will be given to our local foodbank to help those in need.
Hello Yellow Day
The 10th October was world mental health day and at Mount Pleasant we asked children to wear an item of yellow to highlight the importance of children's mental health and make a donation to the Hello Yellow foundation. In total we raised £132.00. Not only this children took part in various activities around mental wellbeing across the day
World Book Day
World Thinking Day
World Thinking Day, formerly Thinking Day, is celebrated annually on 22 February by all Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. It is also celebrated by Scout and Guide organizations around the world. Today children who participate in different groups were able to attend school in their uniform.
Christmas Jumper Day
This day involved raising money for Save The Children. Staff and children came to school wearing a Christmas jumper.
