Welcome to Year 3 2024-25
Autumn Term
Year 3 visited Accrington Stanley FC and received goody bags and a shirt. We met some of the players and the mascot, Winstanley.
In RE we have been learning about Islam and we made a class model of a Mosque.
In Science, we have been learning about skeletons and we made our own human skeletons.
Year 3 have been inspired by the famous artist Orla Kiely. We looked at Orla’s work which was largely inspired by nature and designed our own repeating pattern based around a Halloween theme. Very spooky!
Year 3 classes joined together and competed in the Inter-Planet Curling competition. Jupiter were the winners and our star players were Myla in 3X and Ellie in 3Z.
At the end of our DT topic we made the toasted sandwiches we had planned. They were very tasty!
